The Route

East to west on the TransAmerica Trail: from Assateague Island on the Atlantic coast, across Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho into Oregon – then down the Pacific coast to San Francisco. Roughly 5000 miles.
